The McLain's won a top 10 award at Flip's Cruise-In for June. They won "Car of the Month" at Flip's for the month of May. WOW! A really nice ride.

Janice entered the spark plug change contest and being the only woman with guts to do it.......placed last. Cudos to Janice for being brave enough to try it.

The Cruizin Quit Raffle is now going on!! Tickets are available from CCSRA Members or you can contact Marie directly at this web site. We will have someone at the Flip's Cruise-In's with tickets. Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5.00. The quilt is handmade by Lisa McLain and it is BEAUTIFUL!!! Some lucky person will have quite a prize for a $2 donation. The car clubs of Montgomery, AL, sponsor a cruise-in the last Saturday of each month, except November and December. We meet at Flip's Uptown Grill 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. We have a 50/50 pot and a "Car of the Month" award. The car of the month is usually chosen by an impartial spectator and does not necessarily mean that it is the best car at the cruise in......only that it is that particular person's choice. Come and kick tires with us and talk with other car enthusiasts. Door prizes are awarded periodically but only to registered cars. So, don't forget to register your car. Hope to see you the last Saturday of this month.

Gary Davidson won a top ten plaque at the May Flip's Cruise-In for May. The May 2009 was the biggest cruise-in we have had yet. There were hula hoop contests, best dressed Hawaiian look, and top-ten plaques. Janice Nichols won the 50/50 pot. Talk about lucky........they have won it two months in a row. Capital City Street Rod Association of Montgomery Alabama has released a new web presence. We are up and running with our new web site and are particularly proud of it. It will be a very informative and useful tool for our fellow street rodders. I do hope the club will use it to find out what is going on as well as for other information. Many thanks to Bob for getting it going and all of his hard work.
